Despite the wide range of rapid development conditions and positive factors, as well as the government’s strong support, there remain elements, which are critical for future success or failure. One of the fundamental elements is the lack of integrated Informational-analytical tool that will make tourism development planning and execution possible based on the correct measurements and the most updated information. Governmental institutions are objectively unable to produce and sustain effective informational-analytical tools on their own due to the complexity, related to the development and the maintenance of such capabilities. As much as tourism becomes a strategic economic direction, more it challenges all sensitive safety and security aspects of the industry. It is apparent and proven through the global experience that integrated and up-to-date GIS based informational-analytical system is a very effective tool for optimal, sustained and secure development in this field.
