Annotation:

The eastern segment of Ajara-Trialeti folded zone is made-up by Upper Cretaceous Coniacian-Santonian carbonate and Campanian-Maastrichtian carbonate-terrigenous deposits, Paleocene-Lower Eocene flish sediments and Middle Eocene volcanigenic-sedimentary rock units. In Campanian-Maastrichtian limestones and Danian sandstones has been determined rich ichnofauna common for abyssal-bathial deposits, which is very similar to ichnofauna of Upper Cretaceous-Eocene flish (turbiditic) deposits in Spain.
