Study for Feasibility of Shale Gas Exploration in Georgia

During the last decade the Shale Gas considered as a fossil energy resource which can considerably change world energy balance and significantly affect on global and regional energy- and geopolitics. During the preliminary study several possible commercial Shale gas consistent regional formations have been identified in Georgia. Investigation of specific geological and geochemical characteristics of this shales as well as theirs large scale spatial mapping have to be done.
